WALLER — The Waller ISD Board of Trustees approved the calendar committee’s recommendations for the 2023-2024 instructional calendar during its regularly scheduled meeting on March 9, 2023.
For the 2023-2024 instructional year, Aug. 23 will serve as the first day of school.
The major school holidays for the 2023-2024 calendar include:
students begin school on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023;
Labor Day, Sept. 4, 2023, is a student/staff holiday;
the calendar has a Thanksgiving holiday (Nov. 20-24, 2023);
a winter break is scheduled for students (Dec. 25, 2023-Jan. 9, 2024);
a five-day spring break is scheduled for March 11-15, 2024;
Good Friday, March 29, 2024, is a student/staff holiday;
the school year will end on May 23, 2024 for students;
Graduation is scheduled for May 25, 2024,
Memorial Day, May 27, 2024, is a staff holiday.
